What's new in NeoBuild

1. Week of 15 September 2026

   2026-09-18

   Signing in, getting help and getting out again: the screens around the edges of the product, several of which had controls that quietly did nothing.

   • FixedResetting a forgotten password works. The email is sent and the code checked on our side — previously the message never left, whatever the screen said.
   • ImprovedThe reset screen is three steps instead of one crowded page: it shows which address the code went to, how long it lasts, and lets you send a new one.
   • NewA short welcome on your first workspace asks four optional questions and explains what the free plan covers before you start.
   • FixedThe code editor no longer underlines correct code in red.
   • FixedIn an empty project, the preview link and the buttons beside it now do what they say instead of nothing.
   • NewA run's summary lists the files it changed as a table, and each path opens that file.
   • ImprovedThe GitHub panel folds the setup away once you are connected, and surfaces a failure instead of leaving it in the log.
   • ImprovedAdding a custom domain leads with the step to take, and the DNS instructions stay on the page whichever plan you are on.
   • ImprovedThe plan card is compact — one line per file rather than two.
   • FixedA preview is reused only when it belongs to the version you are looking at.
2. Week of 8 September 2026

   Plans learned to say where you are in them, and a run stopped mis-reporting its own outcome.

   • NewA plan shows its phase breakdown, and marks how far through it you are.
   • NewYou can pick a plan back up where you left it rather than starting again.
   • FixedTables in a summary render as tables instead of rows of pipe characters.
   • FixedAutomatic repair points at the source file you wrote, not a bundled path or a folder that does not exist.
   • FixedA long write shows real progress instead of going quiet and then reporting a failure that did not happen.
   • ImprovedA failed run offers one recovery action — the one that fits what went wrong.
   • FixedRebuilding no longer erases the record of the run that did the work.
   • ImprovedThe token meter keeps its two numbers apart, so what you have used and what you have left are legible at a glance.
   • FixedWhen a build stops at the database step, it says why — in the log you can send us.
   • ImprovedPlan mode is labelled beta, and links to what changed recently.
3. Week of 1 September 2026

   2026-09-05

   Plan mode got a lot more predictable, and the product pages now explain what NeoBuild actually does.

   • NewA features section covering SQL review, your own Supabase, GitHub sync, code export, automatic build repair, edge functions and live preview.
   • NewDocumentation now covers edge functions and secrets properly, including where API keys should live and the errors you are most likely to hit.
   • FixedApproving a plan no longer shows the turn as failed a moment later.
   • FixedApproving a plan on a brand-new project now builds it as a new app instead of trying to patch one that does not exist yet.
   • FixedA written plan is no longer mistaken for a list of fixes to review.
   • ImprovedPlan questions are answered in place, with a single clear action instead of two competing buttons.
   • FixedOld plan cards no longer claim an app was built when it was not.
   • NewAccounts on a support-granted plan now show a Promotional badge so the plan you are on is obvious.
   • ImprovedAfter a run, the chat describes what that run actually did rather than restating the project.
4. August 2026

   2026-08-29

   Mostly reliability: signing in to Supabase on a phone, previews that build when they should, and fewer pointless auto-fix rounds.

   • FixedConnecting Supabase on a phone no longer loops back to the authorize screen without finishing.
   • FixedA project that is already signed in to Supabase is no longer asked to authorize again.
   • FixedLinking a database now rebuilds the app so it actually receives its credentials.
   • FixedTwo builds triggered at once no longer race and leave the preview in the wrong state.
   • FixedA project that has never built successfully is now rescued and built rather than left stuck.
   • NewYou can build without connecting a cloud database, and connect one later when you need it.
   • ImprovedFix All no longer re-runs on an error set that has not changed, and is not offered while a build is already working.
   • ImprovedProgress is reported once, instead of two statuses saying the same thing.
   • NewPasting a specification switches to Plan mode automatically, so a long brief is planned before it is built.
   • NewWord and Excel files can be attached from the file picker.
   • ImprovedPhased plans have real structure, and the approval card is clearer about what happens next.
   • NewAuto is now the default model selection, so you do not have to choose one to get started.
